Article 8

Membership:

Section 1: Anu person may become a member of the Association after his / her application has been signed by an active member of the Association. They shall be investigated and passed by the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors. They shall be accepted by a majority vote of the members present at a regular monthly meeting.

Section 2: A new member shall pledge to uphold all the Rules and By-laws and to assist the Officers in the betterment of the Association. He / she shall partake in three activities within in 90 days before being fully accepted into the Association.

Section 3: Association membership shall be as follows; Regular Membership, Life Membership, Junior Membership and Spouse Membership.

a. Regular members shall have the use of the Association facilities, vote and may be elected to hold office in the Association.

b. Life members shall have the same privileges as the regular members, but upon reaching 65 years of age, and having 5 or more years of regular membership, shall no longer pay dues or assessments. Other fees may apply such as indoor rang cards etc. as determined by the Board of Directors.

c. Junior members are members under 18 years of age, who shall not have the right to vote or receive keys to the meeting house.

d. The spouse of regular members shall be permanent guests unless they choose to be members at a reduced rate set by the Board of Directors.

e. All members shall maintain annual membership in the National Rifle Association.

Section 4: Membership of the Association shall not exceed 300 Regular members.

Section 5: Each year immediately following the prescribed period for payment of annual dues, the Purser will notify the Board of Directors as to the number of paid up members and the number of openings available for new members.
