01. Any senior member in good standing may shoot on this range any time
the range is open, provided:
A. The member realizes and observes the necessity of care, respect and
precaution that is accorded any firearm.
B. Observes all safety rules and regulations of the club.
C. Wears an identification button at all times.
D. Signs in upon entering club grounds and signs out upon
leaving (NO EXCEPTIONS).
02. Any member may bring a guest to shoot providing:
A. The member brings only as many guests as are controllable and
under the member's direct supervision.
B. Each guest may only visit/shoot no more than three times per year.
C. Each guest must be signed in before shooting.
D. The hosting member must oversee and be responsible for all guests.
3. Any member may instruct a minor under 18 in the safe use and control of a
firearm unless found to be unqualified.
4. A non-member may sight in on the range only in the presence of a range
officer after paying a $2.00 fee.
5. Range hours are:
A. 8:00 am to sunset on weekdays and Saturdays.
B. 12:00 noon to sunset on Sundays and holidays.
C. When completed, the indoor range will be open 24/7.
6. Speed limit for vehicles on club grounds is 10 mph.
7. No hunting is permitted on club grounds.
8. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on club grounds (exceptions may
be granted for special supervised events by board of directors.)
9. Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times.
10. It is recommended that you do not shoot alone.
11. Any departure from the rules MUST be cleared by the board of directors.
12. Range officers will ask anyone violating any rule to leave the range
immediately and report to the board for suspension and/or removal
proceedings.
13. It is the responsibility of all members to observe these rules and see that
others do so as well. For the safety of all concerned, if you observe any
violations, please report the badge numbers to the board.
14. When the range is in use by any group or class, other members may shoot
only on the same range only with the group's consent.
15. All actions must be open at all times unless the shooter is ready to fire
or the firearm is either holstered or cased.
16. No shooting at glass targets (bottles, etc.) anywhere on the club grounds.
17. No shooting of cans anywhere except the designated plinking range which
is on the 50-yard line at the extreme right of the 50-yard range, next to
the berm. Bottles or glass items are NEVER to be used as plinking targets.
18. Plinking is allowed only in the designated plinking area (see above). No
plinking objects may be placed on target stands or on the ground.
19. No one is permitted in front of the firing line while firearms are being
handled or shot.
20. No object should be thrown in the air or placed on the ground to be shot at
with bullets, slugs or shot.
21. If a shooter cannot keep all shots on the target, the distance to the target
must be reduced. Anyone continually missing the target will not be allowed
to shoot without instruction.
22. Non members may sight in or shoot only as the guest of a member or with
a range officer present.
23. Only appropriate paper targets are permitted on the range (except in the
designated plinking area).
24. In case of firearm malfunction (misfire, hangfire or squib load), the shooter
MUST wait for 30 seconds, (KEEPING THE MUZZLE POINTED
DOWNRANGE) before attempting to open the action.
25. The red flag should be raised when going downrange.
26. No one is permitted to salvage lead without board approval.
27. No glass is to be shot on club grounds.
28. Shotguns are to be patterned in the plinking area only.
29. Shotgun rules:
A. Load only when on shooting station.
B. Open the action and clear the gun before leaving the station.
C. Keep the muzzle pointed downrange at all times.
